The following are slides for a presentation I did for the advisory board of the Built Works Registry, an IMLS-funded project to create a comprehensive and canonical catalog of architectural works. As you can see from the slides I had some questions and concerns about what people meant when they said comprehensive and canonical. Much of what you can see in these slides was given voice in the paper Imagining the Built Works Registry co-authoered with Christine Kuan.
