  • Sweet potato & butternet squash soup
  • Onion torte
  • Leg of lamb, roasted with herbs and a red wine sauce
  • Baked potatoes, with a dill butter
  • Green beans
  • Salad
  • Muenster, Gouda aged four years, Langres and one other whose name I never got
  • Profiterolles au chocolat which I was, for once, too drunk to make properly although only one other person seemed to notice
  • 8 bottles of wine, 1 bottle of champagne
