  1. Y'all don't understand, if y'all carried guns and treated each other with more respect, the world would be a lot safer.
  2. Conventional weapons are now so precise and powerful that nuclear warheads add little except radiation.
As a follow-up to yesterday's question about tanks a reader reports that American tanks are near indestructible so, yes, I guess they are handy to have around for situations involving hotheads and shoulder mounted missiles. I don't know if the English are buying American or whether anyone has tested a tank's usefullness at doing damage-control when you've blown your sources. But ours is not to reason why, right?

Dave Rolsky on Module::Build.pm

All of this prompts the question of "why not just use Perl itself for all of this?" That's exactly the question that Ken Williams answered with Module::Build. The goal of Module::Build is to do everything useful that ExtUtils::MakeMaker does, but to do this all with pure Perl wherever possible.
